ANNOUNCEMENT! It’s Football Time at the Upset

Yeah, I know. This is the Writer’s Room. No sports, right? But we couldn’t put this in the “Cowboys” section because, well, there isn’t one.

Not yet. 

That’s what we’re here to talk about, actually.

It was always our intention to bring Cowboys coverage to The Upset. Josh Hamilton was ineloquent when he said it, but he wasn’t wrong in the sentiment: football is big in Texas, and the Dallas Cowboys are at the center of it all. So it is with  great pleasure that I would like to announce that Jeff Cavanaugh and Kevin Turner (of 105.3 The Fan) are joining us, and will launch our Cowboys section on January 1st.

“Great plan,” you may be thinking. “Start your Cowboys coverage literally the day after the season ends.”

Well, yeah. Did you see how this season went? Is that how you want your first year of football coverage to go? Also, we just launched on December 1st, and we wanted to shake all the bugs out of the site before we brought in the big guns.

So we’re starting with a fresh slate. Jeff and Kevin are going to break down the draft in excruciating detail as the offseason marches through the bleak midwinter and into the new hope of Spring. Meanwhile, the rest of the site will function the same as it has for, uh… 28 days and counting *fingers crossed*.

Welcome aboard, Kevin and Jeff. We’re happy we could convince you to hop aboard! For the rest of you, we hope you’re having a great dead week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. We’re looking forward to having you around for 2018 and beyond.
