FRISCO, Texas — Ben Bishop will start the next two games, while Kari Lehtonen will start against the Calgary Flames on Friday.
Lehtonen has just two appearances and one start this season, coming in a loss to the St. Louis Blues on Oct. 7.
Since that start Bishop has played seven straight games, and will reach nine straight if everything goes according to plan against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday and the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday.
Maintenance for Ritchie
Brett Ritchie skated by himself before practice on Monday, but didn’t partake in the team portion of the skate.
Stars coach Ken Hitchcock said it was simply a maintenance day for the forward.
With Ritchie’s absence Gemel Smith skated in his place on Mattias Janmark’s line.
Lines and defense pairs from practice were as follows:
Jamie Benn — Tyler Seguin — Alexander Radulov
Jason Spezza — Martin Hanzal — Remi Elie
Devin Shore — Mattias Janmark — Gemel Smith
Antoine Roussell — Radek Faksa — Tyler Pitlick
Marc Methot — John Klingberg
Dan Hamhuis — Stephen Johns
Esa Lindell — Julius Honka
Jamie Oleksiak — Greg Pateryn
