The Dallas Stars have made a huge jump and will pick third in the upcoming NHL Entry Draft.
The New Jersey Devils won the draft lottery and will pick first while the Philadelphia Flyers have the second pick after making a major jump.
Rich Peverley was the Stars representative at the draft lottery.
The draft is more than two months away, but the Stars will likely have their choice of any player after Nolan Patrick and Nico Hischier. You could see the Stars look at a winger or defender, and that could mean Dallas could draft Miro Heiskanen or Owen Tippett, either way the Stars draft prep just got a bit more interesting.
