FRISCO, Texas — Dallas Stars center Jason Spezza is going to miss extended time with an upper-body injury.
“Right now we really don’t have a time frame on it, but it’s more than days,” Stars coach Lindy Ruff said, echoing his thoughts from Thursday’s post-game press conference.
When asked for more specifics, Ruff revealed it wasn’t a concussion.
“I’ll just be honest. It’s an upper body injury that doesn’t have anything to do with anything old,” Ruff said. “It’s not a concussion. It’s going to take a week or two, maybe longer.”
Spezza was injured on a hit by Adam Lowry, it appears his arm is jammed into the shoulder on the play.

Spezza was walking around the Stars practice facility Friday and he wasn’t wearing a sling or a cast of any sort.
