Like most of his teammates, Alexander Radulov wasn’t pleased with the Dallas Stars showing during a five-game road trip.
“Four points, it was bad that we lost yesterday. And really terrible that we couldn’t bring at least three victories after the road trip,” Radulov said. “The road, it’s hard to play on the on the road, but it’s a long season and now about the way we have to play a team game.”
Stars coach Ken Hitchcock said it’s a matter of tentativeness, and the Stars need to be more aggressterive.
“Winning in the National Hockey League goes to the team that initiates,” Hitchcock said. “There are all kinds of issues that go into why are you playing on your heels … so that’s what we talked about, what’s holding us back from playing on our toes?”
While the team is struggling, Radulov has been impressive. He has goals in four straight games, including an overtime game winner.
But, as Radulov said, none of that matters if the team isn’t winning.
“Hockey, life, is so up-and-down,” Radulov said. “Things, I don’t want to say well, but not bad for me but at the same time it doesn’t matter who is scoring or makes plays. Hockey is about winning the hockey game as a team.”
